PROTEGGO
ACCESS CONTROL
PROTEGGO is an access control system for monitoring disoriented patients. This system allows control and monitoring of disoriented patients’ movement. It helps prevent the flight risk from dementia patients.
PROTEGGO is a worthwhile solution for service personnel because it notifies unauthorized movement both from unauthorized areas and gates or every possible distancing from bed or armchair.
It is beneficial in healthcare facilities such as nursing homes and extended care centres.
PROTEGGO monitors accesses or critical areas (entrances, doors, gates, unsafe zones) continually and alerts the staff when a disoriented guest approaches a passageway or critical area.
How it works
The system generates an alarm when the monitored areas or gates detect the approach of an unauthorized patient equipped with a SMILE-ID bracelet. The notification methods vary depending on the type of control implemented.
WITHOUT PERSONAL ID: the D-POS II gate control device, generates a signal to notification devices connected (as, lamp, notification) with a dry contact. In this way, the device notifies that a breach has occurred.
WITH PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION: The D-TECT device detects the breached passageway and the person’s identity, relaying this information to the Central Server INFORMO IP, which will manage and send these alarm details to the mobile service personnel.
Needs and Advantages:
- Controlled and conditional access to gates;
- Monitoring of both doors and extended passageways such as main doors, gates, or driveways
- Ability to detect the checkpoint and the person’s identifier
- Monitoring with sensors for movement away from a bed or armchair;
- Mobile reporting of related alarms through the Central Server INFORMO IP.
