Individual protective devices

For the protection of lone and medical worker

Through lone workers protection systems, Tecnel is committed to reduce personnel exposure to hazards and complying with legal obligations for Occupational Safety.

The license allows you to activate the internal protection sensors on the Spectralink 7×42 series handset and, if necessary, automatically send the emergency warning to users/devices of the emergency team programmed in the system.

The alert also contains information on the location of the solitary worker to allow a quick and effective rescue action.

You can send the alarm based on one or more detected conditions such as:

  • Man Down: when the handset is in a horizontal position.
  • LongKey: pressing the alarm button
  • When the handset is Out of Radio Range
  • Tear off the lanyard, the handset is taken away from the operator.
  • Fast Run: when the worker accelerates rapidly e.g. in case of panic or escape.
Simple and effective customization

The different operating profiles can be defined for each worker by activating or not the sensitivity of the various alarm sensors. All programming tasks are carried out via the web interface of the central unit of INFORMO IP thus avoiding a direct intervention on the handset.

Reliable system

INFORMO IP continuously verifies the optimal operating status of the individual handset to detect any anomalies due to malfunctions or when the lone worker moves away from the radio coverage area remaining therefore without protection. The report of non-protection is recorded in the system and sent to the emergency team (or other recipients) who may take appropriate action.

In this scenario, the phone is capable of independently verifying the lack of connection with the INFORMO IP system. If this happens, it immediately warns the lone worker of the situation with an optical or acoustic signal.

False alarms are eliminated through careful management of the pre-alarm steps on the handset itself that allow the worker to delay sending or reset the device before the alarm is sent.

INFORMO IP is a platform Certified by Spectralink under Spectralink’s Application Integration and Management Solutions (AIMS ) program.

Localization of lone workers in alarm phase

When an alarm condition is detected, the alert sent to the recipients (e.g. emergency team) contains, in addition to the information on the type of alarm sent, information relating to the location of the area in which the lone worker is operating at that time.

The location is located based on the DECT radio (RFP) cell to which the handset is currently registered. Each cell is associated with a customizable description (e.g. warehouse) to allow rapid identification.

The handset itself can be programmed to emit an optical/acoustic signal at various intensities (when in alarm) to facilitate the detection of the lone worker by the rescue team intervening in the reported area.
