More efficient logistics for Coca-Cola HBC through digitalization
Coca-Cola HBC Italia’s logistics site in Marcianise is a key hub for the group’s national distribution network. In the food & beverage sector, ensuring smooth, timely transport management is essential to preserve product quality and reduce delivery times. However, inbound flows presented several challenges: carriers had to wait in outdoor areas for their turn, making it difficult and not immediate to communicate bay assignments. The process required staff to manually notify availability, slowing down the entire operation.
The solution
To overcome these issues, Coca-Cola HBC Italia chose to adopt our tailor-made digital communication solution INFORMO IP LITE, which enables the company to:
- Communicate with carriers by providing them with a pager
- Send the destination to reach when a bay becomes available for loading/unloading goods
- Ensure communication through a stable, long-range, consistent signal
INFORMO IP LITE transformed the bay management process, eliminating downtime, improving vehicle flow, and ensuring greater operational safety—even when different languages are involved.
