Fast and secure communications for logistics: the Arcese project

The Arcese Group, with nearly 60 years of experience, over 3,500 employees, and 70 locations worldwide, is one of Italy’s leading transport and logistics companies. Its three divisions—Road Freight, Air & Ocean, and Contract Logistics—provide integrated solutions across the entire supply chain. In such a complex environment, operational efficiency and workforce management were a challenge, especially during loading and unloading phases, which were often slowed down by operational distances, language differences, and unreliable communications.
Arcese-Trasporti

The solution

To address these issues, Arcese chose our INFORMO IP LITE system. Installed at the Chiari logistics hub, the system covers an area of approximately 60,000 m² and enables communication via a simple web page accessible from smartphones, tablets, or PCs. All staff across the corporate network can send text messages to drivers’ pager devices.
The system effectively manages communication between the gatehouse and hauliers, making it possible to:

  • Receive real-time updates on the availability of loading and unloading bays
  • Customize or pre-set messages, making communication easier even with drivers of different nationalities
  • Monitor all communications via dedicated reports and manage up to eight network-connected sites through a single central server
INFORMO IP LITE has transformed the management of staff and loading/unloading operations, ensuring a safer and more professional logistics service.

Staff can manage activities more smoothly, while drivers receive accurate, timely information.

Adopting the system allowed Arcese to optimize logistics operations, reducing waiting times and increasing the reliability of communications.

Enable fast, secure, and consistently efficient operations—even in the most complex logistics phases—with our technology.
