Spectralink IP-DECT Cell

Radio Infrastructure

The Spectralink IP-DECT Base Station provides radio coverage and channels for DECT phone calls and connects to all Spectralink DECT Servers: IP-DECT Server 400, IP-DECT Server 6500, Virtual IP-DECT Server One and DECT 8000.

Spectralink IP-DECT base stations can be powered via IEEE 802.3af Power Over Ethernet (POE) or from an external power source.

Each Spectralink IP-DECT base station is equipped with 12 voice channels and provides a typical radio coverage distance of up to 50 m indoors or 300 m outdoors. Since coverage depends on site characteristics such as building materials and interference, it is critical to assess and inspect the site prior to installation to determine the appropriate amount and placement for base stations. Up to three Spectralink DECT repeaters can be used to extend radio coverage.

An external antenna can also be installed to extend or direct coverage as needed.

The base station can be synchronized via radio (over-the-air) or via LAN (server license required) to

Ensure quality call handover and seamless movements over the entire multi-cell coverage area.
