The Spectralink DECT base station provides a wireless coverage area and connects to a central Spectralink DECT Server 8000 via conventional twisted-pair cables.
By multiplying Spectralink DECT base stations, a wide wireless coverage area can be achieved, with seamless handover and travel, for mobility solutions
complete premises. Spectralink DECT Server 8000 powers the DECT base station via a conventional twisted-pair cable.
One or two pairs of twisted-pair cables with a maximum length of 2,400 meters are sufficient for each Spectralink DECT base station to achieve extensive coverage.
All Spectralink DECT base stations have a range of up to 50 meters indoors and 300 meters outdoors.
The actual width of the coverage area depends on the degree to which it is open or closed, keeping in mind that walls and other obstacles reduce radio coverage. Prior to installation, a site survey is required to precisely define the quantity and locations of base stations needed to achieve the desired coverage.
Optional installation of an external antenna can be provided to extend or direct radio coverage as needed.
The DECT base station is available in four- and eight-channel models, and must be paired with Spectralink DECT Server 8000.
