The Spectralink DECT repeater extends the wireless coverage area of Spectralink DECT systems. The DECT repeater extends the radio signal of Spectralink base stations and can be used in areas where wiring to base stations is limited, such as in stairwells, lobbies, and hallways. To each IP-DECT/DECT base station can be
Connected a maximum of three DECT repeaters.
The DECT repeater requires only power to operate, and connects wirelessly to Spectralink base stations, making installation much easier.
Careful planning is required for the total amount of simultaneous calls provided by the repeater and base station in the combined radio coverage area; in fact, the DECT repeater does not bring additional channel capacity, but merely extends the channels already provided by the Spectralink base station.
The DECT repeater is easily configured with the help of an external programming kit (sold separately).
Through the use of an optional external antenna, the repeater can be placed at a greater distance from the base station. The external antenna is only for radio synchronization to and from a base station, and does not provide additional radio coverage for portable DECT devices.
The Spectralink DECT repeater is compatible with all IP-DECT base stations and IP-DECT servers from Spectralink.
